My name is Ryan White, and I am in the Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program during in Fall of 2015 and will graduate in May of 2017. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2007 with a BacheIor's degree in History with Secondary Education. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching middle school English and social studies. I then finished my Masters of Education in History with Secondary Education at the University of West Georgia.
When I started the program, I taught 7th grade social studies at Pepperell Middle School in Floyd County. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. Upon beginning the program, my ultimate goal was to obtain a job as a technology coach. Today, I am an instructional technology coordinator for Floyd County Schools.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to innovatively integrate technology and to coach other educators in using technology and provide professional learning opportunities for them.
